Nantwich Farm Vets 2020 New Graduate
Are you graduating in 2020? Could you be the next member of the Nantwich Farm Vets team?
Nantwich Farm Vets are based in Cheshire but also cover Shropshire, Staffordshire and North Wales. We are one of the largest independent practices in the UK, with 16 farm only vets plus 4 TB testers and 4 Vet techs.
Our clients are predominantly dairy including some of the most progressive farms in the country. All our team are based from a single site and we recently moved into brand new purpose build premises, so each vet has their own workspace. Our team have all the usual kit, advanced data analysis tools and run regular farmer training workshops.
This means our new graduates will benefit from:
An excellent support mentoring system, with a recently qualified and experienced mentor
An experienced team to learn from including certificate and DBR holders
A large team so you can always reach someone for advice over the phone and back up on farm when needed
Attractive OOH rota - new graduates don’t join rota for 3 to 4 months and we always have 2 vets on call
TB testing is evenly shared from partners to new graduates, with TB testers to lighten the load
Large, friendly, young(ish!) team – lots of fun and social opportunities
Lots of opportunities for clinical discussion plus regular journal club, clinical club and clinical governance sessions
Generous holidays, 30 days plus bank holidays
CPD is funded and encouraged.
Cheshire is a great county to start your veterinary career in, it is a well-connected but rural county, within easy reach of transport links such as the M6 and Crewe station. Whatever your interests outside of work you will probably find it in the numerous sports, social and Young Farmers clubs in the area.
