Meet The Team

  • Veterinary Surgeons

    Our Small Animal Veterinary Team not only offer routine services such as neutering and vaccinations but also specialise in a range of fields. Our Veterinary Surgeons have Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificates or Diplomas in Small Animal Surgery, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Dermatology and Small Animal Medicine.

  • Alan Mayo

    Alan Mayo - BVSc CertSAS MRCVS

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Alan qualified from Liverpool University Veterinary School in 1993 and has spent most of his professional life with the practice.

    He obtained the Certificate of Small Animal Surgery in 1997 and is one of the main surgeons of the hospital. He accepts referrals in both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and his interests include fracture repair, spinal surgery and TTA for the treatment of cranial cruciate ligament failure and stifle arthritis. He was the joint recipient of the Dunkin Award in 2001.

  • Alan Banks

    Alan Banks - BVSc CertVOphthal MRCVS

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Alan qualified from Liverpool University Veterinary School in 1993 and since then he has worked in dedicated small animal practice. He joined Nantwich Veterinary Group in 1996 and became a partner in 2003.

    In 2000 he obtained the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology and he now regularly takes eye referrals from other vets. His interests include the treatment of corneal diseases, eyelid reconstructive surgery and cataract surgery. He has been a committee member of the British Association of Veterinary Ophthalmologists and regularly attends their meetings. Alan has also been involved with design and construction of the our surgeries in Market Drayton, Crewe and Nantwich.

    In his spare time Alan is a keen mountain biker and also enjoys canoeing with his family.

  • Dervla Martin

    Dervla Martin - DrMedVet (Hons), CertAVP GSAS, MRCVS

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Dervla graduated in 2010 and has worked in small animal clinical practice ever since. She worked at a busy first opinion small animal hospital in North Wales before joining us at Nantwich Pet Vets in 2013.

    Dervla’s main professional interest has always been surgical.

    In 2015 she successfully obtained the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons advanced veterinary practitioner’s certificate in general small animal surgery.

    Whilst certified in both orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, Dervla’s preferences lie firmly with complex soft tissue cases and emergency surgery; she accepts referrals in these areas.

    Dervla also has an interest in diagnostic imaging. With additional post graduate training in advanced ultrasonography, echocardiography and endoscopy, she enjoys their application in the management of her surgical cases.

    In her spare time, Dervla loves to spend time outdoors with her family and their many pets.

    Dervla is currently on maternity leave but will return to her role in our Nantwich Hospital next year.

  • Angela Manson

    Angela Manson - BVetMed MRCVS

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Angie qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2004. She worked in mixed practice for 4 years before moving home and joining the team at Nantwich Veterinary Hospital in 2008.

    She enjoys all aspects of small animal work and in particular feline medicine. She is currently studying for the RCVS certificate in small animal medicine. Outside work she enjoys spending time with her lovely cats Marley and Alfie, all outdoor activities and retail therapy!

  • Nicholas Sourvinos

    Nicholas Sourvinos - MRCVS

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Nicholas qualified from Aristotle university of Thessaloniki in Greece in 2008, after spending years working as a small animal veterinarian on a Greek island, moved to England in 2015, to improve his experience and knowledge. Has been member of Nantwich pet vets since August 2018 and has a strong interest in internal medicine, diagnostic imaging modalities and dermatology. Currently he has enrolled for certificate on small animal medicine from the University of Liverpool and he is keen on investigating internal medicine and dermatology cases. At his free time enjoys travelling, digital photography, reading and cycling.

  • Joon Park

    Joon Park - BVetMed MRCVS

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Joon graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2017. With his particular interest in Internal Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging, he is currently working towards a post graduate certificate. In his free time, he is an avid traveller, exploring many small hills and villages around the world.

  • James Meredith

    James Meredith - BVetMed (Hons) MRCVS

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    James spent time at Nantwich Veterinary Group during his studies and he joined the practice after he qualified from The Royal Veterinary College in 2013. His main interest is in canine and feline medicine, however he also enjoys treating rabbits, poultry and ferrets. He is currently studying towards a certificate in small animal medicine and has been on courses in oncology, ultrasonography and endoscopy.

    James does a lot of work for the RSPCA and as a result has a menagerie of animals at home.

  • Amy Glanvill

    Amy Glanvill - BVM BVS MRCVS

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Amy qualified from Nottingham University in 2016 and having grown up on a dairy farm, she initially worked as a farm vet before moving to Nantwich. Amy is interested in all aspects of small animal work, enjoying both medicine and surgery. However, she does have a soft spot for cats, having two ginger rescues at home. Outside of work, she loves being anywhere near (or in!) the water, substituting her home county of Devon's coast for the lakes of Cheshire and Wales.

  • Tom Wallage

    Tom Wallage - BVMedSci (Hons) BVM BVS (Hons) MRCVS

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Tom graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2017 and joined the practice shortly afterwards. Over the past two years, he has enjoyed meeting and building relationships with our clients. He is interested in all aspects of small animal work but is developing a strong interest in surgery. 

    Outside of work, Tom is a keen ( and very talented ) musician and plays the trumpet and cornet both locally and nationally. He has two cats at home; Bella and Beanz !

  • Francesca Wickstead

    Francesca Wickstead - BVSc MRCVS

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    I graduated from the University of Liverpool. My main interests lie in anaesthesia and medicine, especially feline. I enjoy incorporating my job into travelling and have worked in Australia and Thailand, on farms and with charities respectively. In my spare time I love baking and cooking !

     

  • Matt Simpson

    Matt Simpson - BVetMed MRCVS

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Matt qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2017 and joined the practice straight away, having spent time on placements with us since he was 17. Matt enjoys his work as a first opinion vet and has a particular interest in surgery and dentistry. Matt loves rugby, skiing and hiking, but lately finds he spends most of his time on the sofa with his elderly cat, Minnie, and his young son.

  • Amy Hargreaves

    Amy Hargreaves - BVSc MRCVS

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Amy graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2019 and started at Nantwich Pet Vets soon after. Since starting she is enjoying consulting, and meeting all the pets of Nantwich, Crewe and Market Drayton.

    She has a keen interest in canine and feline medicine, especially neurology and ultrasonography.

    Outside work she enjoys baking and spending time with her Springer Spaniel Noah, and two rescue cats Rambo and Beanie.

  • James Hawkesby

    James Hawkesby - BA (Hons) VetMB MRCVS

    James qualified in 2019 from Cambridge University and joined the team at Nantwich Pet Vets shortly afterwards. He enjoys all aspects of working in small animal practice from annual health checks to challenging medical cases.

    James grew up in South Devon and was surrounded by animals right from an early age. After graduating from university, he decided to move to Nantwich after falling in love with the area when looking for work and has thoroughly enjoyed living here since. In his spare time, James enjoys cycling, hiking, and playing tennis

  • Vicky Groom

    Vicky Groom - BSc Hons DipHE AVN RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Vicky qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2008, she worked at a first opinion/referral practice in Shrewsbury before first joining Nantwich in 2010. She was initially with the practice for 5 years and during this time she enjoyed all aspects of nursing especially theatre and anaesthesia. Keen to further her knowledge, Vicky began the Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing, gaining this additional qualification in 2014. Vicky left the practice in 2015 to teach aspiring veterinary nurse students but returned in August 2019 in the role of Nursing Manager.

    Outside of work Vicky enjoys spending time with friends, family and her two dogs Bruce and Arnie.  

  • Emma Stockton

    Emma Stockton - DipAVN(Small Animal) RVN

    Emma joined the Practice in 1997 as a trainee veterinary nurse at our previous site in Barker Street. She moved with the Practice to the purpose built hospital and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2001. She has a keen interest in small animal dentistry and gained her BVNA Veterinary Nurse Certificate in Dentistry in 2003. Emma then went on to train as an assessor and gained her A1 assessor qualification in 2004.

    In October 2004 Emma was promoted to the role of Head Nurse and now currently manages a team of 12 qualified nurses, 13 student nurses and 2 nursing assistants. Emma is dedicated to all aspects of veterinary nurse training and in 2007 she gained her RCVS Examiners Certificate. She now actively examines the nursing practical examinations on behalf of the RCVS. Emma is an in-house Clinical Coach for the Student Nurses.

    Wishing to further her clinical knowledge and skills, Emma embarked on the Diploma of Higher Education in Clinical Veterinary Nursing in 2007 which she gained in 2009. This then allowed entry to complete the RCVS Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (Small Animal) which she gained in 2010. Emma enjoys all aspects of her job especially medical nursing and diagnostic imaging. She has an interest in oncology cases and chemotherapy protocols.

    In her spare time Emma enjoys spending time with her family including her young daughter Ellie, caring for her horse and walking her dogs.

  • Marcia Morris

    Marcia Morris - RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Marcia started working at the practice in 2002 as a trainee nurse aged 16 still awaiting her GCSE results. Marcia qualified in 2006 after starting her training in 2003. After returning to work from having her son Charlie, Marcia qualified as an assessor and has been awarded the BVNA Veterinary Nurse Certificate in Dentistry. Marcia is interested in all aspects of nursing care and manages a busy clinical workload with the team. Marcia is a Clinical Coach for the Student Nurses.

    Marcia enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking and DIY. She mostly enjoys spending time with her sons Charlie and Lucas, and baking and swimming.

  • Mandy Ledward

    Mandy Ledward - DipAVN(Small Animal) RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Mandy began working with Nantwich Veterinary Group as a Saturday girl on reception at the age of 16 while still at school. She then began training to be a Veterinary Nurse in 2003 and qualified in 2006. Mandy was awarded the British Veterinary Nursing Association Veterinary Nurse Certificate in Dentistry in 2008 and she attained the Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing in 2012. Mandy is a Clinical Coach for the Student Nurses.Mandy has two rescue dogs, Pip and Rocky; two mischievous Rex rabbits, Opal and Otis; and last but not least, a cat called Ollie.

  • Sarah Bloor

    Sarah Bloor - DipAVN(Small Animal) RVN

    Sarah left school in 2005 after completing her GCSEs and immediately joined Nantwich Veterinary Group. She qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2008. She has a passion for rabbits and guinea pigs, and has a trio at home; Harvey, Toffee and Poppy. She also has a keen interest in weight management; carrying out clinics to guide clients through their pets weight loss. Sarah is health conscious, being a vegetarian and going to the gym in her spare time. She is currently working towards the Diploma of Higher Education in Clinical Veterinary Nursing.

  • Aileen Lang

    Aileen Lang - RVN DipAVN (small animal)

    Aileen completed her veterinary nurse training in a first opinion practice in Edinburgh and qualified in 2003. She was with this practice for 10 years until an opportunity came up to further her career and move to a referral centre. Aileen made the big move to Birmingham in June 2007, during her time there she completed her advanced diploma in Veterinary nursing and topped this up to completing a degree. She decided to make a move closer to family in 2015 which found her working at Nantwich Veterinary Hospital. Aileen enjoys all aspects of nursing but her passion is Theatre work, Anaesthesia and Emergency care, she also enjoys working with the veterinary nurse students and passing on her knowledge and experience. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends but her biggest passion is horses, of which she has two that she rides. Tjay is a happy hacker and Barney she loves to school and compete on (but only for fun).  Aileen also has 2 dogs, Sweep and Scooby who she enjoys going on walks with and a cat called Barbara !

  • Heather Metcalfe

    Heather Metcalfe - RVN

    Heather joined us in 2003 and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) and in 2005. In 2005 she gained her BVNA Veterinary Nurse Certificate in Dentistry. She is interested in all aspects of nursing, but has a real passion for all things cats! She likes to keep up with developments in Feline nursing, helping to insure our cat patients are getting the best care. In her spare time Heather likes to spend time with her friends and family and her cats Aggie and Bert.

  • Jo Richardson

    Jo Richardson - RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Jo joined the practice soon after completing her GCSEs and went on to qualify as a registered veterinary nurse in 2009. Since then Jo has developed a keen interest in ophthalmic nursing and she routinely assists Alan Banks with ophthalmic surgery. Medical nursing and inpatient care are other aspects that Jo enjoys and to further her knowledge in these areas, she is currently working towards the RCVS advanced diploma in veterinary nursing; which she is due to complete in 2020. Jo is also a clinical coach and helps students working towards their qualification. In her spare time Jo enjoys walking her two dogs Ed and Reg and spending time with friends and family.

  • Karen Bagnall

    Karen Bagnall - RVN BSc (Hons)

    Karen qualified as an RVN with a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing Science in 2009. From qualifying Karen worked in a first opinion practice in North Wales before relocating to Nantwich with her husband and starting at Nantwich Pet Vets in 2014. They have two young boys, two cats (Willow & Rory) and a golden retriever named Elsa.  Karen enjoys all aspects of nursing, with having such as busy family life Karen, works with us on a part time basis.

  • Tyesha Garner

    Tyesha Garner - RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Tyesha began working for Nantwich pet vets  in June 2012, when she was 16 and fresh from high school. In the following years she trained with us and then qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, in the January of 2016

    In practice, Tyesha enjoys all aspects of her job but particularly enjoys anaesthesia and surgical nursing, and is currently studying for a certificate in surgical nursing to further her knowledge.

    Outside of work Tyesha main interests include socialising with her friends, walking and playing with her Pomeranian Lola, and playing netball for NVG Swift, the sponsor of which is Nantwich Pet Vets.

  • Sarah Nash

    Sarah Nash - RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Sarah has worked at Nantwich Veterinary Hospital since 2008 and completed her training to become a registered veterinary nurse in 2012. Sarah enjoys working in the kennel area looking after the inpatients and her primary role is developing and maintaining inpatient care. In her spare time Sarah enjoys baking and spending time with her dogs.

  • Amy Hickman

    Amy Hickman - RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Amy has worked in Veterinary practice since 2007, starting as a work experience from school and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2012. She started working at Nantwich Pet Vets in January 2015 after leaving a practice that specialised in exotic animals. She enjoys all aspects of nursing but particularly enjoys medical nursing, inpatient care and practice nursing.

    Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and taking her whippet Rascal for a walk. She also owns two cats Cookie and Munster.

  • Rosie Barrow

    Rosie Barrow - RVN Cert VN ECC Bsc Hons

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Rosie joined the practice in 2014 and qualified in 2017 as an RVN, prior to working for Nantwich Pet Vets she had obtained a BSc in Equine Science but decided upon a change in direction to small animal practice. Shortly after qualifying Rosie began to study for her Emergency and Critical care certificate as this is her special area of interest and has recently gained this qualification which she looks forward to putting to use within the busy hospital. She now hopes her next project will be to volunteer at the local wildlife hospital to learn more about nursing different species !

    Bar a few years in France Rosie is local to the area of Nantwich and enjoys bumping into patients on dog walks with her two own rescue dogs (Ginny and Tonka) not forgetting her daughter Freya who seems to be just as obsessed with animals as her mum is !

  • Sophie Wallace

    Sophie Wallace - RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Sophie joined the practice in 2014 as a veterinary care assistant before qualifying as an RVN in November 2018. Sophie is interested in the emergency and critical care side of nursing and for this reason enjoys night nursing. Sophie has two rescue cats called Tumble and Tina and a little Jack Russell called Nessie. In her spare time Sophie enjoys taking Nessie for long walks and spending time with friends and family.

  • Nieve Hill

    Nieve Hill - RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Nieve joined the practice in 2013 at the age of 16, she completed a veterinary care assistant course and then went on to become a registered veterinary nurse, she quallified in 2017. She is now working towards completing an anaesthesia certificate as this is her area of intrest. Outside of work Nieve loves spending time with her family and friends especially her two dogs Pike and Benny.

  • Abbie Parker

    Abbie Parker - RVN

    Abbie started working at Nantwich veterinary hospital straight from high school in 2013 as an apprentice. Abbie trained at the practice and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017 and has continued her career within the Hospital. She enjoys all areas of nursing but particularly enjoys caring for the inpatients. Outside of work Abbie enjoys spending time with her family, socialising and going on many dog walks with her two Labradors Meg and Gem. Abbie is also a Brownie leader at her local brownie unit where she regularly volunteers.

  • Lianne Withnell

    Lianne Withnell - RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Lianne joined the practice in 2014 and qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2017. She returned to work in January 2019 after having her baby and has enjoyed medical nursing assisting with ultrasounds and assisting with cardiology cases.

    In her spare time she enjoys baking.

  • Alice Glennie

    Alice Glennie - RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Alice qualified as a RVN in 2017 and worked in a mixed practice before joining Nantwich Veterinary Hospital in March 2019. Alice enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing especially emergency and critical care, anaesthesia and post operative care. Outside of work Alice spends most of her time eventing her ex-racehorse, Count. Alice also has four lurchers called Ezzie, Ned, Tom and Wurzel.

  • Sophie Trickett

    Sophie Trickett - RVN Bsc (Hons) Cert VN ECC

    Sophie joined the Nantwich team in 2016 having qualified from Harper Adams University. In 2019 she completed an emergency and critical care course. Sophie enjoys all aspects of nursing but in particular she enjoys working with patients requiring intensive care. 

    Outside of work Sophie enjoys walking in the country side and relaxing on the sofa with my rescue cat Pumpkin

  • Katie Glover

    Katie Glover - RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Katie started at Nantwich in August 2015 after leaving school and started an apprenticeship as a Veterinary Care Assistant. After completing this, Katie began her training as a Student Veterinary Nurse before qualifying in April 2019.  She enjoys all aspects of nursing especially inpatient care and medical cases. Outside of work Katie enjoys baking, supporting Stoke City, and spending time with family, friends and her cavachon Charlie.

  • Estelle Eccleston

    Estelle Eccleston - RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Estelle started her Veterinary Nurse training in 2016 at Nantwich Pet Vets and qualified in 2019 as an RVN ( registered veterinary nurse ). Her favourite aspect of the job involves nursing poorly pets back to full health and therefore well and happy enough to return home. Estelle's hobbies outside of work include competing, with her own horse.

  • Jess Goodman

    Jess Goodman - Student veterinary nurse

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Jess started work at the practice in October 2017 and began veterinary nurse training in April 2018. She is interested in and passionate about delivering excellent patient care and looking after critically ill patients. Outside of work, Jess enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going for walks and also spending time with her horse Cilla.

  • Chloe Samples

    Chloe Samples - Student veterinary nurse

    Chloe joined the practice in early 2018 to commence training as a student veterinary nurse. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing in the busy Nantwich hospital, and she has a particular interest in medical nursing and anaesthesia. Outside of work I enjoy travelling, scuba diving and spending time with my pets Alfie, Rhubarb and Isla.

     

  • Erin Hill

    Erin Hill - Student veterinary nurse

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Erin started at nantwich pet vets in April 2018 and immediately started training as a student Veterniary nurse. She enjoy all aspects of her job particularly critical nursing and emergency care. Erin enjoys socializing with friends and walking my labradoodle Fern.

  • Maile Pemberton

    Maile Pemberton - Student veterinary nurse

    Maile joined the practice in 2018 to commence training to become an registered veterinary nurse. She loves working in a veterinary hospital, as no two days are the same and the variety of cases allows her to gain lots of experience. Maile enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing from inpatient care to assisting as a scrub nurse but she particularly enjoy anaesthesia and being in theatre.

    At home she has 2 dogs, Leo & Lily, and 2 guinea pigs, Horace and Harvey.

  • Danielle Palser

    Danielle Palser - Student veterinary nurse

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Danielle started at the practice in 2018 and began her training a few months late. She enjoys all aspects of the job but especially inpatient care as she finds helping patient recovery very rewarding. As her training continues she looks forward to furthering her knowledge in anaesthesia. 

    At home she has a yorkshire terrier called Scooby and she enjoys going for long walks in the Peak District

  • Emma Higgs

    Emma Higgs - Student veterinary nurse

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Emma started working at the practice in February 2018 and started her veterinary nurse training 2 months later. Emma enjoys nursing surgical patients. She is enjoys learning about all aspects of the job but particularly enjoys assisting the vets and nurses in theatre. Emma has a keen interest in emergency surgery. 

    In her spare time she enjoys spectating and navigating on car rallies and plays football. She is also kept busy by her adopted kitten Luna.

  • Charlotte Tatton

    Charlotte Tatton - Student veterinary nurse

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Before joining Nantwich Pet Vets Charlotte worked as a qualified zoo keeper. During this time she realised her passion lied with the medical treatment of animals. So she made the big decision to transition in the veterinary field and gained a position as a student veterinary nurse in January 2019. She enjoys all areas the training offers especially patient care. In her free time she volunteers with the scouts, goes on as many voluntary trips to animal sanctuaries as she can as well as going camping with her family and her dog Peanut.

  • Rebecca Dickenson

    Rebecca Dickenson - Student veterinary nurse

    Rebecca joined the practice in 2018 and has started her veterinary nurse training in April 2019.She enjoys all aspects of nursing mostly looking after critical patients and seeing them through to recovery. Rebecca enjoys hiking with her two dogs arlo and Oscar as well as spending time with friends and family outside of work.

  • Laura Moors

    Laura Moors - RVN

    Nantwich Veterinary Hospital

    Laura first joined Nantwich vets as a trainee veterinary nurse in 2014 and qualified in November 2017. Laura enjoys all aspects of nursing but her main interests include inpatient care and emergency and critical care which is why Laura has become one of our dedicated night nurses caring for patients out of hours. In her spare time Laura enjoys walks with her Labrador Harley and riding her horse Domino.

  • Becky Savage

    Becky Savage - RVN

    Market Drayton Veterinary Surgery

    Becky joined the Practice as a trainee nurse at Nantwich Veterinary Hospital in 2008 and qualified in January 2011. She became head nurse at our Market Drayton Surgery in 2012. She is also a qualified Petplan pet insurance adviser.

    In her spare time Becky captains our very own netball team and keeps herself busy riding her horse, walking her three dogs and looking after her four cats.

    Cat started working at the practice in 2007 and joined the team at the Market Drayton branch after her maternity leave in 2018. She enjoys all aspects of nursing, especially being able to stay with patients and attend to their needs from admit to discharge. 

    Outside of work Cat enjoys visiting her parents in Cornwall with her husband and son, and also entertaining her very feisty cat, Flora !

    Simone started work as a nurse in December 1987. She qualified as a Veterinary Nurse from RCVS in 1993 and went on to study for the Diploma in Advance Veterinary Nursing, Surgical and Medical, in 2002 and 2005

    Simone joined Nantwich Veterinary Group in December 2010 as Head Nurse of our Hospital in Crewe.

    In her spare time Simone can usually be found in her garden, walking her dogs and taking care of the various pets she has.

    Deborah joined the practice on her degree placement year, and then upon graduating returned qualified, in 2016. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing but is particularly interested in laboratory and surgery. Deborah has a great passion for the older pet and is currently working successfully on setting up her own senior pet clinics.

    In her spare time, Deborah enjoys playing rugby union for Crewe and Nantwich ladies, riding horses and ballroom dancing, whilst  also keeping an eye on her naughty porkie tortie, Belinda !

    Lisa started nursing in 2009 at the Nantwich Veterinary Hospital and moved to the hospital in Crewe, when she qualified. She has a particular interest in rabbit anaesthesia. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoys yoga and fitness.

    Donna has lived in Crewe all her life, and has managed to achieve her ambition of working in the veterinary industry by joining the nursing team at our hospital in Crewe, where she is looking forward to helping her community with the care and health of their pets. She is enjoying her time at the hospital, and is looking forward to a successful career ahead. 

    In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter, family and friends, and taking long walks in the countryside with her two naughty dachshunds Benji and Darcy.

    Our Small Animal Veterinary Team not only offer routine services such as neutering and vaccinations but also specialise in a range of fields. Our Veterinary Surgeons have Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificates or Diplomas in Small Animal Surgery, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Dermatology and Small Animal Medicine.

    Emma has been with the practice since 2003 where she trained and qualified as an RVN ( registered veterinary nurse ).

    Emma developed a keen interest in nurse-led clinics and soon took on the role as Practice Nurse. She has been responsible for setting up and running nurse clinics such as weight management and puppy and kitten clinics. She left the practice to have her son in 2015, but soon returned to her practice nurse role before becoming Client Care Manager in early 2019.

    Outside of work Emma shares her time with her family and animals.

    Tracy has worked for Nantwich Pet Vets for a total of 19 years having previously worked in office environments. She started at the Nantwich Hospital before moving to work in her home town at Crewe Veterinary Hospital when it opened in January 2011. Tracy deals with all aspects of client care duties including processing insurance claims and answering queries. In her spare time Tracy has recently stated caravanning with her husband and lab/springer Mitch and tries to get away most weekends.

    Kerry-Anne joined the client care team at the Crewe Hospital in 2012, after training and working in child care for 7 years.

    Since joining the team, she has attended many courses which have expanded her knowledge in the running of a veterinary hospital and building her confidence to deal with all areas of client care duties including insurance claims and dispensary.

    In her spare time Kerry-Anna enjoys attending her ballroom dance classes and spending time with her friends and family

    Denise has worked for the practice for 25 years. Before joining the hospital in Crewe in 2011 she worked at the branch surgery in Beech Street, Crewe, where there was a single vet and herself and she assisted in helping with many nursing duties as well as reception.

    Denise has also worked as a volunteer for Stoke City Dogs Home on the rehoming side doing house visits for suitability.

    Denise’s main passions are her 5 grandchildren and 3 dogs. Her hobbies include reading, shopping and annual cruises.

    Lucy has been part of the client care team at Nantwich Pet Vets for just over 6 years and had previously worked in a similar role for 10 years within a veterinary practice on the Wirral, close to where she grew up. Her main duties within her role, involve the handling of pet insurance claims. In her spare time, Lucy enjoys getting out and about with her young daughter and her golden oldie rescue Dachshund, Buster.

    Now entering her 14th year working at the practice as a client care advisor on the reception desk. Hayley is the proud owner of a cat, a keeper of bees and a lover of anything that barks, meows, clucks or squeaks !

    Hayley feels lucky to be in a job that she loves, helping our clients in any way she can, whether it be arranging appointments, helping with insurance cases, putting clients in touch with rescue charities or giving hugs through sad times. Hayley spends any spare time in her busy role, fussing all the pets that come through the doors ( and occasionally hands out the odd treat or two ! )

Naomi lives in the quiet Shropshire countryside on a small holding where she helps out with the animals and spending time with her twin boys and chocolate Labrador, Fudge.

Emma has a menagerie of pets including hens, fish, tortoises, cats and dogs as well as her two little boys. She loves spending time with her pets and enjoying quality time with the family.

Having qualified from Reaseheath College and obtaining a diploma in animal management and animal care, Summer has always had a passion for working with animals and their owners at Nantwich. Outside of work, Summer enjoys taking her two crazy Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Jackson and Cody out on big walks in the countryside. Summer loves working with animals and couldn’t think of a better job to be in and out of work, enjoys nothing more than having cosy nights in with her family.

    Amy started with Nantwich Pet Vets in the client care just after the summer in 2019. She attended South Cheshire College in 2014 to study health and social care for 2 years and soon after realised her passion for all aspects of companion animals. Amy also enjoys the client interaction at the busy hospital in Nantwich. Out of work she enjoys long walks with her two dogs Alfie and Poppy and regularly spends time with friends and family.
