Nantwich Equine Surgery
The clinic facilitates hospitalisation of horses for intensive care, surgery and in-depth orthopaedic/medical investigations. We have the advantage of a large car park with easy access for HGVs and a loading ramp if required. We are best known for the diagnosis and management of the lame performance horse and have been early advocates of the many successful newly developed techniques for equine lameness including Shockwave Therapy, Tildren (Equidronate), Acell and Stem Cell, Platelet Rich Plasma, Goldic and IRAP.
Our diagnostic suite comprises of four purpose built consultation rooms and a large indoor examination area, two sets of specialist stocks, high quality digital radiography, two ultrasound machines, fibre optic and video endoscopy, in addition to our large outdoor arena, trot-up and hard lunge area for observation of gait and lameness problems. Our comprehensive surgical facilities are fully equipped for all routine and specialist equine surgery including arthroscopy 'key-hole' surgery. We have two padded induction/recovery boxes set up for assisted recovery in addition to a tilting Telgate II operating table. Our highly trained team of anaesthetists monitor horses intensively throughout their surgery with state of the art equipment.
