We operate our own emergency service from our own hospital - you will never be asked to travel to another practice for veterinary attention out of hours.
Our Staff
Rob George - BSc MA VetMB MRCVS
Rob graduated from Nottingham University in 1995 with a degree in Agriculture and Animal Science with a bias towards animal nutrition and then went on to Cambridge University to study veterinary science.
As a student he spent a lot of time working with vets in Canada who were heavily involved with both large commercial herds and top pedigree show cows. He graduated as a vet in 2000 and immediately joined Nantwich Veterinary Group farm practice. He became a partner in the practice in 2004.
His family milk 800 pedigree Holsteins, on 2 dairy units which his two brothers now run, and he has a keen interest and input (free vetting and milking!) in the running of the herd. Rob and his brothers exhibit cows at many national shows and have had much success. He has a keen interest in the breeding, management, fertility and nutrition aspect of dairy farming and has given many presentations and written articles on such topics.
Whilst at Cambridge he played in a number of varsity matches in both rugby union and rugby league, captaining various teams. He has now come out of retirement and play for Crewe & Nantwich, feeling the bumps and bangs a lot more now he’s older.
