We operate our own emergency service from our own hospital - you will never be asked to travel to another practice for veterinary attention out of hours.
Our Staff
Our Small Animal Veterinary Team not only offer routine services such as neutering and vaccinations but also specialise in a range of fields. Our Veterinary Surgeons have Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificates or Diplomas in Small Animal Surgery, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Dermatology and Small Animal Medicine.
Alan Banks - BVSc CertVOphthal MRCVS
Alan qualified from Liverpool University Veterinary School in 1993 and since then he has worked in dedicated small animal practice. He joined Nantwich Veterinary Group in 1996 and became a partner in 2003.In 2000 he obtained the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology and he now regularly takes eye referrals from other vets. His interests include the treatment of corneal diseases, eyelid reconstructive surgery and cataract surgery. He has been a committee member of the British Association of Veterinary Ophthalmologists and regularly attends their meetings. Alan has been heavily involved with design and construction of the new surgery in Market Drayton.
In his spare time Alan is a keen mountain biker.
